Is it permissible for a master to have sexual relations with the daughter of his *mudabbara* slave girl?

Primary text
It is permissible to have sexual relations with the daughter of the *mudabbara* if the master did not have relations with the mother. This is because the master's complete ownership is established over the daughter, making relations lawful according to the Quranic verse, just as with the mother, and her right to freedom does not increase beyond her mother's right, which did not prevent relations.

There is an opposing view that he is not permitted to have relations with her because her right to freedom was established derivatively, similar to the child of a contractually freeing slave (*mukataba*). The argument against this dissenting view is that the child of a *mukataba* is likened to her mother, whose relations are forbidden, so the daughter's relations are likewise forbidden. However, the mother of this current slave girl is permissible for relations, necessitating that the daughter be likened to her mother. Ahmad's statement is interpreted to mean that he had relations with the mother, which subsequently forbade relations with the daughter.
