Does mortgaging a Mudabbar void its status as Mudabbar (a slave conditionally manumitted upon the master's death)?

Mortgaging a Mudabbar does not invalidate its status as Mudabbar. This is because the Mudabbar status is a conditional attachment of manumission. If the master dies while the Mudabbar is pledged as collateral, the Mudabbar is manumitted. The value of the Mudabbar is then taken from the master's estate as collateral in its place. This is because the manumission stems from an action originating from the master, making it analogous to an immediate, outright manumission initiated by the master.
