What is the ruling regarding the disposition of a person who alternates between sanity and insanity?

If a person experiences periods of insanity alternating with periods of lucidity (one day insane, one day lucid), their disposition upon death (tadbīr) is valid if executed during their period of lucidity (ifāqah).
