What is the ruling on testimony for one who frequents singing houses or is visited by singers?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Testimonies
Primary text
If a person frequently visits singing houses or is visited by singers for listening, manifesting this practice publicly and frequently, their testimony must be rejected according to all scholars, as this constitutes foolishness and degradation. If such a person is generally respected, the ruling reverts to the details concerning one who sings only for themself.
