What is the ruling on the testimony of one who takes from *Sadaqah* (charity)?

If one takes from *Sadaqah* in a manner permissible for him without soliciting, his testimony is not rejected because it is a permissible action without baseness. However, if he takes what is not permissible for him and repeatedly does so, his testimony is rejected because he is persistent in committing the forbidden (*musirr 'ala al-haram*).
