It is not permissible for an origin witness to testify as a branch witness because this leads to the witness serving as both an origin and a substitute in establishing a right, which is impermissible. Additionally, because the branch witnesses establish the testimony of the origin witnesses, and the testimony of one is not a container for the testimony of the other.
