Is the testimony of a defendant invalidated if he accuses the witness of slander (*qadhf*)?

Primary text
The testimony of a defendant does not become invalid merely because the defendant accuses the witness of slander regarding that testimony. If the testimony were voided due to this accusation, every defendant could invalidate a witness's testimony by slandering them. This situation differs from the subsequent occurrence of moral failing (*fisq*) after testimony is delivered but before judgment, where rejection is appropriate because the subsequent failing suggests the witness concealed their state at the time of giving testimony. In the case of slander by the defendant, the enmity arises from an act not inherently raising suspicion against the witness.
