Is testimony permissible if the original witness says, 'I testify that so-and-so owes so-and-so a thousand, so you testify about it to him'?

Primary text
If the original witness states, 'I testify that so-and-so owes so-and-so a thousand, so you testify about it to him,' it is not permissible for the hearer to testify about this statement. This is because the statement constitutes two separate testimonies; the hearer would be testifying about the original witness's testimony, but the hearer has not witnessed the acknowledgement of the debt by the debtor, nor has the hearer witnessed the underlying cause of the debt.
