Who is liable for the rent (usufruct value) of the usurped property when its value diminishes and it passes through the usurper and the buyer?

The owner may claim the entire rent amount from the usurper. Alternatively, the owner may claim from the buyer the rent corresponding to the time the property was in the buyer's possession, and the remainder of the rent from the usurper.
