Who owns the produce grown from usurped seeds or grains?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Usurpation
Primary text
If someone usurps grain and plants it, resulting in a crop, or usurps seeds and intention transforms them into trees, the resulting growth belongs to the original owner of the usurped item. This is because the growth is an increase (*nama'*) of the original property, analogous to previously established rulings.
Supporting text
It is possible to derive that the usurper gains ownership of the growth, based on a reported opinion mentioned in a preceding section.
