If the recipient assumed liability for the value of the item, it is established that they can seek reimbursement for the item's value, similar to the established principle regarding the value of offspring, for which the original usurper must reimburse the recipient. However, regarding compensation for rent, dower (mahr), and compensation for lost virginity (arsh al-bikarah), there are two differing legal opinions on whether the recipient can seek reimbursement from the original usurper.
