Primary text

If a property is usurped, and then usurped again from the first usurper, the ruling is to convene a meeting between the original owner and the first usurper. If any of the parties pass away, their heirs must be convened. This is done as a precaution against liability from the first usurper, who might later claim ownership based on possession. Otherwise, the obligation remains to return the property to its original owner.

Similarly, if someone entrusts an item to another (custodian), and a third party claims to the custodian that the original depositor usurped that item from them, and the custodian verifies this claim, the custodian should return the item to the claimant, provided the custodian does not fear liability (that the original depositor might reclaim it from him).
