What is the ruling on the rent if the usurper demolishes a usurped house but does not rebuild it?

If the usurper demolishes an existing usurped house, he owes the rent for the house until the time of demolition. From the time of demolition until its return, he owes the rent for the land as if it were vacant land (muhaddama). This is because the building was destroyed and lost, and its rent is not due when the structure itself is lost.
