If one vows to pray in Al-Masjid al-Aqsa, fulfilling the prayer in Al-Masjid al-Haram suffices. This is established by the narration of Jabir, where a man vowed, upon the conquest of Makkah, to pray two rak'ahs in Al-Bait al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). The Prophet commanded him, 'Pray here [in Al-Masjid al-Haram],' repeating this instruction until the man ceased asking. Imam Ahmad reported that the Prophet said, 'By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, if you prayed here, it would suffice for every prayer in Al-Bait al-Maqdis.'
