What is the ruling if a woman vows to fast on the day of her menses or post-natal bleeding (nifas)?

If a woman vows to fast on the day of her menses or nifas, she owes only the expiation (kaffara). This position appears to be agreed upon by the scholars of the madhhab.
Supporting text
There is another narration that she should not fast that day, but fast another day in its place, and offer the expiation of an oath.
