If the master dies while she is observing the *Iddah* related to her husband, she is manumitted immediately. No *Istibra'* is required for her, consistent with the preceding ruling. This is because her status as the husband's *farash* ended prior to the master's death, meaning there is no basis to require an *Istibra'* for the master's sake, similar to the case of a non-consummated *Umm Walad* who is sold and whose master then dies.
