If the seclusion occurred while the woman was fasting the month of Ramadan, it prevents the completion of the *Mahr*. This indicates that whenever the impediment is firm (*muta'akkid*), such as being in the state of Ihram or similar states, the completion of the *Mahr* is prevented, and the *Iddah* is not required. This is because seclusion is given the standing of physical contact only when it is a presumption thereof, and with an impediment, that presumption is not realized.
