Primary text

There are two narrations concerning intercourse during the waiting period without explicit revocatory wording. One narration states that reconciliation is established by the intercourse, making her ruling the same as one who was explicitly taken back and then had intercourse. The second narration states that reconciliation is not established, and she must begin a new waiting period because it is intercourse in an impaired marriage, similar to intercourse under a misunderstanding (shubha). The remainder of the original divorce waiting period counts because both are due to the same man.
