If the woman begins observing Iddah by months and then menstruates before the months conclude, she must restart the Iddah by menstrual cycles. If she is free (Hurrah), she must observe three menstrual periods. If she is a slave woman (Amat), she must observe two menstrual periods. This applies to a minor who has not menstruated or an adult who has not yet experienced a cycle.
