What is the ruling concerning the wife of a captive (Asir)?

There is a consensus among scholars, including Al-Nukha'i, Al-Zuhri, Yahya Al-Ansari, Mak'hul, Al-Shafi'i, Abu Ubaid, Abu Thawr, Ishaq, and the People of Opinion (Ahl al-Ra'y), that the wife of a captive cannot remarry until the death of her husband is certainly known.
