What is the ruling when only the husband knows the wife is observing 'Iddah?

If the husband knows the wife is observing 'Iddah while she is ignorant of it, the husband is subject to the *hadd* penalty for fornication, and the dower is obligatory upon him. However, no legal lineage is established for any offspring.
