General Chapter

Book of Waiting Periods ('Iddah)
Primary text
If a woman sees blood after reaching sixty years, it is confirmed that the blood is not menstrual flow. Consequently, she must not observe a waiting period based on this sighting and must instead observe the waiting period by counting months, similar to a woman whose menstruation has ceased entirely without a known cause.
