Book of Waiting Periods ('Iddah)
Primary text
If the waiting periods are ruled to run concurrently (tadaakhul), both periods end simultaneously upon delivery of the pregnancy. If they do not run concurrently, the waiting period for the divorce concludes upon delivery, and a new waiting period based on procreation (Quru') commences for the subsequent intercourse.
