Primary text

If the deceased has a person who freed their father but was not the person who freed the deceased directly, the inheritance goes first to the person who freed the deceased's father. If that person has residuary heirs, they inherit next. Following them, the inheritance goes to the person who freed the father of the person who freed the deceased's father (*mu'tiq mu'tiq abihi*). If none of these individuals exist, the estate goes to the public treasury (*bayt al-mal*). The inheritance does not revert to the person who freed the deceased's grandfather.
