Who inherits the *Wala'* (loyalty/inheritance rights) of a child born from a freed male marrying a freed female, if the father of the child's mother was one of the freed individuals?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Walā' (Patronage)
Primary text
If a freed slave marries a freed female slave and they produce a daughter, and this daughter then marries a son born from a slave marrying a freed female slave, and they have a child, the *Wala'* of this resultant child belongs to the *Mawla* (patron/liberator) of the child's paternal grandmother. This is because the *Mawla* has *Wala'* over the father of the child.
