Primary text

If the mother gives birth more than six months after emancipation while the marriage bond remains, the child is not ruled to have been touched by slavery, and his walaa' is transferred, because it is possible that the conception occurred after the emancipation, meaning the child was not subject to slavery. The ruling of slavery is not established upon doubt.
