If the father is a non-Arab freed slave and the mother is a freed slave (*Mawla*), Abu Hanifa holds that allegiance is established upon their children. This is considered incorrect because the father is free by origin; thus, allegiance is not established upon his children, similar to the case where the father is Arab.
