Does the daytime fall under the wife's allocated time period?

Primary text
Daytime is included in a wife's allocated portion as an appendage to the night. Evidence for this is the narration that Sawdah gifted her day to Aisha, which is unanimously agreed upon. Aisha stated that the Prophet, peace be upon him, passed away in her house and on her day, and his passing occurred during the daytime. The day follows the preceding night; hence, the beginning of a lunar month is reckoned from the night. Similarly, if one vows to perform I'tikaf for a full month, the observance begins before the sunset of the preceding month's last day and ends after the sunset of the month's last day, thus commencing with the night. It is permissible to associate the day with the subsequent night, as this does not cause disparity.
