Is equality in dividing nights (Qasm) among co-wives obligatory?

There is no known difference of opinion among the scholars regarding the obligation of equality in dividing the time among co-wives. This is established by the Divine Command to live with them honorably (Quran 4:19), which is incompatible with favoritism, and the prohibition against inclining entirely toward one, leaving another like one who is suspended (Quran 4:129). The Prophet specified that whoever has two wives and inclines to one will come on the Day of Resurrection with one side of his body tilted. The Prophet prayed, acknowledging his effort in dividing time equally among his wives, but asking not to be blamed for what he did not control.
