What is the etiquette regarding standing up from a meal when the dining cloth (ma'ida) is laid?

Primary text
When the dining cloth (ma'ida) is set, a man must not rise until the cloth is taken away. Furthermore, a person should not raise his hand (stop eating) even if he is full, until the group has finished. He must make an excuse (for leaving or stopping), because a person may feel shy toward his companion and hold back his hand, while he might still have need for the food.
