When must a female slave (*amah*) acquired through marriage be delivered to her husband?

If the wife is a female slave (*amah*), her delivery to the husband is only required at night. This is because she is property whose one form of benefit (the marital right) has been contracted for; therefore, delivery is not required outside of its designated time, analogous to a situation where one rents her specifically for daytime service, in which case delivery at night is not required.
