Primary text
If two individuals extend an invitation and it is impossible to honor both, the one who responded first must be answered. The obligation to respond was established upon the first invitation, and the second invitation does not nullify this existing obligation. The obligation to respond to the second invitation does not arise because it cannot be fulfilled alongside responding to the first.
