Is it permissible for one to blow into food or drink, or breathe into the vessel while drinking?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not blow into food or drink, nor did he breathe into the vessel. Ibn Umar related a statement from the Prophet (PBUH) prohibiting anyone from breathing into the vessel, established in the text agreed upon (Muttafaq 'alayh) on the authority of Abu Qatada.
