Is it permissible for others to see or hear a couple during intercourse?

Intercourse must not occur in a manner where someone sees the couple or hears their sounds. One should also not kiss or touch their spouse publicly. Imam Ahmad stated that he only approved of concealing this entirely. Al-Hasan disliked hearing the mere sound (*al-wajs*), which is the faint noise, from a man having intercourse while his wife heard.
