What is the ruling if it is impossible or overly difficult to travel with all wives?

Primary text
If accompanying all wives during the journey is not possible or causes undue hardship, it is permissible to send them all together with another man who is a lawful mahram (unmarriageable kin) to them. In this case, maintenance is not due to any of the wives based on the travel arrangements, and no casting of lots (*qur'ah*) is required because equity has been maintained among them.
