What is the ruling regarding a husband having sexual intercourse with his wife in her anus?

There is no fixed legal punishment (*had*) upon the husband for having intercourse with his wife in her anus because he possesses a legal doubt (*shubah*) concerning this act. However, he must receive disciplinary punishment (*ta'zir*) for performing a forbidden act. The wife is required to perform the ritual bath (*ghusl*) because penetration of the vagina (*farj*) into the vagina has occurred, and this act carries the same ruling as intercourse in the front passage regarding invalidating acts of worship, establishing the dower (*mahr*), and necessitating the waiting period (*iddah*).
