Primary text
A stipulation made by the two arbitrators or by the spouses themselves, such as agreeing to waive part of the maintenance (nafaqah) or the division of conjugal visits (qasm), is not binding. This is because if such an arrangement is not binding when agreed upon by the principals (the spouses), it is even less binding when agreed upon by their agents.
