What is the liability if a wound inflicted upon an apostate or an enemy combatant progresses to cause death?

Primary text
If a wound is inflicted upon an apostate (*murtad*) or an enemy combatant (*harbi*), and the wound progresses to cause death, neither execution (*qisas*) nor *diyah* is due, regardless of whether the injured party embraced Islam before the progression or not. This is because the initial wound itself was not guaranteed (i.e., did not incur liability for *qisas* or *diyah*), so its progression is likewise not guaranteed, unlike the previous cases discussed.
