Is Qisas incumbent upon the accomplice if the victim intentionally injures himself first, and then another intentionally injures him, resulting in death?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Wounds
Primary text
There are two reported views regarding whether Qisas is due from the accomplice when the victim intentionally injures himself first, and then another intentionally injures him, leading to death.
Supporting text
The view favoring Qisas is supported by Ahmad's report that if a man injures the victim, and then the man injures himself (and the victim dies from both wounds), Qisas is due from the accomplice because it constitutes pure intentional killing, necessitating Qisas upon the accomplice, similar to an accomplice to a father's act.
