Primary text

Full blood money (Diyyah) is due for the death. However, it is also considered that half the blood money might be due because the death resulted from an injury for which compensation was guaranteed (the murder) and a consequence stemming from an action during a period where the consequence was not guaranteed (the prior amputation during apostasy), similar to a case where one person injures another, and the injured person also inflicts an injury upon himself, leading to death.
