Primary text

If one ear is severed, and experts confirm that it can be removed while the other ear remains sound, retribution is allowed. If experts indicate that the safety of the second ear cannot be guaranteed, retribution is waived to avoid injustice, and half the blood money is due. If the safety of the other ear is guaranteed, the right ear is taken for the right, and the left for the left, based on established principles for other limbs.
