Book of Wounds
Primary text
If the injury inflicted by one perpetrator healed while the victim died from the injuries caused by the other two, the guardian has the option to exact retribution (*Qisas*) upon the one whose injury healed, by inflicting a similar wound, and kill the other two. Alternatively, the guardian may take the full *Diyya* from the other two. A third option is to kill one of the latter two and take half the *Diyya* from the remaining one. Furthermore, the guardian may pardon the one whose injury healed and take the stipulated *Diyya* for that specific injury from him, while proceeding against the others.
