This case requires consultation with two trustworthy experts. If they confirm that the full right can be exacted without causing a penetrating wound (Jā'ifah), execution is carried out. Otherwise, the matter defaults to Diyah. The permissibility of exacting Qisas from the elbow or below is subject to the same considerations detailed for analogous cases.

These same principles apply correspondingly to injuries of the foot (analogous to the palm), the leg (analogous to the forearm), the thigh (analogous to the upper arm), and the hip joint (analogous to the shoulder bone).
