Primary text

If two separate individuals amputate two healthy hands, and subsequently the resulting injury spreads and causes the victim's death, the victim's guardian does not have the option to pardon the act in exchange for blood money because the value equivalent to the total blood money has already been executed via the amputation of both hands.

Supporting text

If the guardian chooses execution (qisās) for both perpetrators, that choice is permissible.
