What is the validity of Hadiths stating non-reciprocal Qisas between father and son?

There are two reported, conflicting narrations attributed to Suraqah regarding the Prophet (peace be upon him). One states that the father is not subject to Qisas from his son, nor the son from the father. The second states that the father was subject to Qisas from his son, but the son was not subject to Qisas from his father (narrated by Tirmidhi). The first narration is deemed not authentic, as it is not found in famous Sunan collections, and its origin is doubted. If it does possess an origin, both narrations are mutually contradictory and must be discarded in favor of clear, established texts and undisputed consensus (Ijma).
