When can the capital provider pay Zakah on the Mudarabah profit before division?

The capital provider should pay Zakah from the profit amount itself, as it is an expense pertaining to the capital. It is preferred not to pay the Zakah before division because the profit acts as protection for the capital. However, it is plausible that payment before division may be permissible, based on the general Islamic principle that Zakah is obligatory and must be paid from the wealth.
