Primary text
If the owned livestock consists of different types that fall under the same category, such as domestic buffalo (*Jawamis*) and other types of cattle, or *Bakhathi* camels and *Arab* camels, or goats and sheep, the individuals are combined to complete the *Nisab* (minimum threshold) of one of the types, and the required Zakat animal is taken from that type according to the total value of the combined herds. This principle is established based on scholarly consensus cited by Ibn al-Mundhir.
