Primary text

The right of the collector ('amil) to his share is nullified. This is because the collector only receives remuneration for his labor; if he performs no work in the distribution, his right ceases to exist. Consequently, the remaining seven categories of recipients are addressed. If all seven categories are found, the entire amount is distributed among them. If only some are found, distribution to them is sufficient. It is also permissible to give to some while being able to give to all.
