Is it permissible to prematurely cut unripe fruit if necessary?

Primary text
It is permissible to cut unripe fruit if there is a need for it, such as fear of thirst or weakness of the main fruit cluster (jamar). This is permissible because the right of the poor is based on mutual aid, and one is not obligated to do that which destroys the principal of their wealth. Preserving the principal is more beneficial for the poor, as their right recurs yearly through the preservation of the trees, making them partners in the palm trees. If drying the fruit suffices without cutting all of it, drying should be done; if only cutting all of it suffices, then it is permissible. Similarly, it is permissible to cut some fruit to improve the remainder.
