Must people take an oath regarding their charitable contributions (Zakat)?

People are not made to swear oaths concerning their Zakat payments. This is because Zakat is a right belonging to God Almighty (*Haqq li-llah Ta'ala*), and therefore, an oath is not required for it, similar to prayer and the prescribed physical punishments (*hudud*).
